Reboot Starring Henry Cavill

“There can be only one” and Henry Cavill is that one – Highlander! Chad Stalheski (John Wick Chapter 4) will direct the Highlander reboot which starts filming in January in Scotland next year for a 2026 release date. Prepare for spectacular action scenes and sword fights as head will roll once again for the ultimate prize.

Christopher Lambert starred in the original 80s cult classic original with Sean Connery as the Spaniard / Egyptian immortal, Ramirez. The original movie spun two sequels and a TV series featuring a Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul), (cousin to Connor MacLeod) which ended with a cinematic outing in End Game. In 2007 there was one final movie, Highlander The Source, starring Adrian Paul, but it never had a theatrical release in North America.

One of the best things about the original Highlander movie is the films score, which was original music and songs by the band Queen. The Highlander reboot has a lot to live up to. Would love to see Christopher Lambert make a cameo in it. Time to rewatch the original in 4K and Dolby Atmos sound.
