The Incredible Hulk (2008)

“The Incredible Hulk” (2008) is a superhero film directed by Louis Leterrier and based on the Marvel Comics character Hulk. It is the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), following “Iron Man” (2008). The movie stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, a scientist who transforms into the Hulk, a giant green creature with immense strength, when his anger reaches critical levels.
The story follows Bruce Banner as he seeks to cure himself of the gamma radiation that causes his transformations. Hiding in Brazil, Bruce works on a solution while avoiding capture by the U.S. military, led by General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt). The General is determined to weaponize the Hulk, believing it to be a potential asset for the military.
Bruce’s quest leads him back to the United States, where he reconnects with his former girlfriend, Dr. Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), the General’s daughter. Meanwhile, Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), a soldier working with General Ross, volunteers to undergo an experimental procedure to become a super-soldier. However, the procedure goes awry, transforming Blonsky into the Abomination, a monstrous creature even more powerful and dangerous than the Hulk.
The climax of the film features a spectacular battle between the Hulk and the Abomination in the streets of Harlem. Bruce ultimately learns to accept his dual nature, realizing that the Hulk can be a force for good if controlled properly.
“The Incredible Hulk” is known for its intense action scenes, emotional depth, and exploration of themes such as identity, control, and redemption. It serves as an essential part of the MCU, contributing to the larger narrative and character development within the franchise.
