Misery (1990)

Misery (1990) is a psychological thriller directed by Rob Reiner, based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. The film stars James Caan as Paul Sheldon, a successful novelist who, after a car accident, is rescued by a woman named Annie Wilkes, played by Kathy Bates.
Annie takes Paul to her remote home to recover, but it soon becomes clear that she is an obsessive fan of his work, particularly his “Misery” series.
