Star Wars Episode X – NEW JEDI ORDER (2026)

Star Wars: Episode X – New Jedi Order (2026) is set to usher in a bold new chapter in the iconic Star Wars saga, bringing fresh stories, new heroes, and a new era of hope and conflict in the galaxy. Directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and written by Steven Knight, the film will continue the journey of the Skywalker legacy while introducing an entirely new generation of Jedi, as well as a new threat to the galaxy far, far away.

Set two decades after the events of Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019), New Jedi Order explores the rebuilding of the Jedi Order and the challenges that arise in a galaxy still recovering from the aftermath of the First Order’s reign and the death of Emperor Palpatine. The Republic is now led by Rey Skywalker (Daisy Ridley), who has taken up the mantle of the last Jedi and is determined to rebuild the Jedi Order from the ashes.

Rey, now a wise but conflicted Jedi Master, is trying to train a new generation of Jedi, but she faces resistance from various factions in the galaxy who remain distrustful of the Jedi’s return. As Rey seeks to find balance within herself and the Order, she begins to realize that her quest for hope might face its greatest challenge yet, as new dark forces begin to rise.

A New Threat – The “Yuuzhan Vong” and the Dark Force: A mysterious new enemy, inspired by the Yuuzhan Vong from the Star Wars Expanded Universe (now Legends), has emerged. This new force, called the “Morality Nexus”, is a fanatical group of warriors and ideologists who believe that the galaxy’s reliance on the Force itself must be destroyed in order to bring about true balance. They are led by a charismatic and dangerous leader known as The Blind Seraph—a figure who was once an ally of the Jedi but now seeks to end their reign.

The Morality Nexus employs new, terrifying weapons and technology that nullify the Force, making them a formidable threat to Rey and her Jedi. These new enemies come from a distant part of the galaxy, unknown to the New Republic, and their invasion is swift and calculated. Their philosophy is to strip the galaxy of its dependence on the Force and impose a harsh, non-Force-dependent order.

As Rey and her students struggle to fend off the threat of the Nexus, Rey is confronted with the possibility of revisiting old Sith teachings in order to understand her enemy’s dark philosophy and stop them. She is forced to confront the internal battle between light and dark that has been central to her journey, especially after learning more about her own lineage and its complex relationship to the Force.
