Marvel’s Inhumans brings the hidden world of the Inhuman royal family to the small screen, focusing on Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and his unique powers, as well as the complex relationships within his family. When a coup forces the Inhuman royal family to flee to Earth, they must navigate the challenges of their new lives while facing enemies both within and outside their own ranks. While the show has impressive visual effects and a fascinating mythos about the Inhumans and their powers, it struggles with pacing and character development, leaving much to be desired in terms of emotional investment. Despite its potential, Marvel’s Inhumans falters in delivering a compelling, cohesive story and engaging performances. The show serves as a decent exploration of the Inhumans’ world but doesn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by other Marvel franchises.
