The Wolfman (2024)
Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a horror legacy, “The Wolfman” (2024) returns to its iconic roots to retell the myth of a cursed man. Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a tormented nobleman who reluctantly returns to his ancestral home after his brother mysteriously vanishes. Reuniting with his estranged father, portrayed by Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins, Talbot embarks on a quest to find his missing brother, only to confront a terrifying destiny of his own.
Lawrence Talbot’s life changed forever on the night his mother died. Leaving the serene Victorian village of Blackmoor behind, he sought solace elsewhere, trying to bury the past. However, when his brother’s fiancée, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), seeks his help to locate her missing love, Talbot returns home to aid in the search. There, he discovers that a powerful beast with insatiable bloodlust is terrorizing the villagers, while a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Hugo Weaving) arrives to investigate.
As Talbot unravels the gruesome mystery, he uncovers an ancient curse that transforms its victims into werewolves under the full moon. To stop the carnage and protect Gwen, the woman he loves, Talbot must confront the savage creature haunting the woods of Blackmoor. Yet, in his pursuit of the nightmarish beast, he will confront a primal side of himself he never knew existed.
“The Wolfman” (2024) promises a chilling fusion of gothic horror and tragic destiny, paying homage to its classic origins while introducing a new generation to the timeless legend of the werewolf.
