Set during the final weeks of World War II in April 1945, the film follows Don “Wardaddy” Collier (played by Brad Pitt), a battle-hardened U.S. Army sergeant commanding a Sherman tank named Fury. Wardaddy and his crew, which includes gunner Boyd “Bible” Swan (Shia LaBeouf), loader Grady “Coon-Ass” Travis (Jon Bernthal), driver Trini “Gordo” Garcia (Michael Peña), and rookie assistant driver Norman Ellison (Logan Lerman), are tasked with a dangerous mission behind enemy lines.
As they push deeper into Nazi Germany, the crew faces overwhelming odds and constant danger. Norman, inexperienced and initially hesitant about killing, undergoes a harsh transformation under Wardaddy’s mentorship and the brutal realities of war. The film explores the bond between the men, the horrors they witness, and the moral ambiguities they confront in their fight for survival.
“Fury” is praised for its realistic portrayal of tank warfare, intense battle scenes, and the strong performances of its cast. It delves into themes of brotherhood, sacrifice, and the psychological toll of war on soldiers.
