Serenity (2005) is a science fiction film written and directed by Joss Whedon, serving as a continuation and conclusion to the television series Firefly (2002). The film brings back the ensemble cast from the show, including Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, and Summer Glau.

Set in the distant future, Serenity follows the crew of the titular spaceship, led by Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds (Nathan Fillion), a former soldier who fought on the losing side of a civil war.
