The story is set in a world where superheroes and villains are part of everyday life, and follows Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano), the teenage son of two legendary superheroes, The Commander (Kurt Russell) and Jetstream (Kelly Preston).

Despite his parents’ high expectations, Will discovers that he has yet to develop any superpowers, which is a significant concern as he starts his first year at Sky High, a high school for young superheroes.

At Sky High, students are classified into two main groups: “Hero Support” and “Hero,” based on their powers. Will struggles with his lack of abilities while trying to fit in and make friends.

He befriends a group of other “Hero Support” students, including the intelligent and resourceful Layla (Danielle Panabaker) and the quirky but loyal Ethan (Josh Peck). Will’s predicament becomes more complicated when a group of villains, led by the enigmatic Royal Pain (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), threatens the safety of Sky High and the world beyond.
