Alien: Covenant (2017)

Alien: Covenant is a sci-fi horror film directed by Ridley Scott, serving as both a sequel to Prometheus (2012) and a prequel to the original Alien (1979). The movie continues exploring the origins of the terrifying xenomorph creatures and delves into the themes of creation, survival, and humanity’s quest for answers about its own origins.
The story follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant, led by Captain Oram (Billy Crudup) and Daniels (Katherine Waterston). The crew is on a mission to colonize a distant planet, but they divert course after intercepting a mysterious signal from a nearby, seemingly habitable world.
When they land on the planet, they discover an eerie and deserted landscape, where they encounter David (Michael Fassbender), the android from the previous expedition in Prometheus.
As the crew explores the planet, they quickly realize that it harbors deadly secrets, including terrifying alien creatures that begin hunting them. David, who has developed his own sinister agenda, manipulates the crew as they struggle to survive the rapidly escalating nightmare.

Alien: Covenant blends the existential questions raised in Prometheus with the claustrophobic horror of the original Alien films. The film is known for its stunning visuals, intense action, and grotesque creature designs.
It expands the Alien mythos while delivering the signature horror and tension fans of the franchise expect. Although it received mixed reviews, Alien: Covenant is praised for its atmosphere and chilling portrayal of the xenomorph origins.
