Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)

“Resident Evil: Apocalypse” (2004) is the second installment in the “Resident Evil” film series, directed by Alexander Witt and based on the popular video game franchise by Capcom. The movie stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, and Thomas Kretschmann.
The film picks up immediately after the events of the first movie. After escaping the underground Umbrella Corporation facility known as “The Hive,” Alice (Milla Jovovich) awakens to find the city of Raccoon City overrun by the deadly T-virus, which has turned most of the population into zombies. The virus, created by the Umbrella Corporation, has spread beyond containment, leading to chaos and destruction.
Alice teams up with a group of survivors, including Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), a former Raccoon City police officer, and Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr), a member of the Umbrella Corporation’s security force who has turned against his employers. Together, they must navigate the zombie-infested streets to find a way out of the city before it’s destroyed by a nuclear strike ordered by the Umbrella Corporation to cover up the outbreak.
As they fight for survival, Alice and her team face off against not only hordes of zombies but also other bio-engineered horrors unleashed by Umbrella, including the monstrous Nemesis, a powerful creature designed to eliminate any survivors.

“Resident Evil: Apocalypse” is known for its action-packed sequences, intense combat scenes, and the introduction of iconic characters from the video games like Jill Valentine and Nemesis.

The film expands on the universe established in the first movie, delivering more of the horror and adrenaline-pumping action that fans of the franchise expect. Despite mixed reviews, it remains a popular entry in the series, particularly among fans of the games.
