Tenet (2020)

Tenet (2020) is a science fiction action-thriller directed by Christopher Nolan, known for its complex narrative structure and mind-bending concepts. The film follows a protagonist, simply known as “The Protagonist” (played by John David Washington), who is recruited by a secret organization called Tenet to prevent a future catastrophe that could reverse the flow of time and annihilate humanity.
Armed with only one word—“Tenet”—and a cryptic understanding of time inversion, The Protagonist embarks on a global mission that leads him into a shadowy world of international espionage.
Alongside his mysterious partner, Neil (Robert Pattinson), he navigates a reality where objects, people, and events can move backward through time. Their goal is to stop Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh), a Russian oligarch who has access to time-inversion technology and plans to destroy the world.
Tenet explores themes of time, fate, and free will, combining intricate action sequences with Nolan’s signature narrative complexity.
The film is celebrated for its stunning visual effects, especially its portrayal of time inversion, where actions unfold in reverse. While the film was praised for its ambition and technical achievements, some viewers found the plot difficult to follow due to its nonlinear structure and dense exposition.

Nevertheless, Tenet became a landmark film, admired for its innovation in both storytelling and cinematic spectacle.
